Questions

The honest fine print

Is the open-source version crippled to push an upgrade?

No. The free experience must be genuinely excellent on its own. The ledger, verdicts, provenance, the shadow report, self-hosting, and exports are committed free forever. There is never a separate free UI and paid UI — gated features, if gating ever exists, render as honest disabled states in one product.

What license is it?

Apache-2.0. One binary, all original code in the repository. Every borrowed asset keeps its own license, recorded in NOTICE.

How do the enterprise features work today?

They are the roadmap for a hosted / managed offering, not shipped paid code in the repo today. The honesty invariants — provenance and honest verdicts — apply at every tier, paid or free. If any of these are on your critical path, get in touch and we’ll talk specifics.

Do you see my prompts or store my keys?

Prompt text is not stored by default — only a hash and counted features. Secret values are never persisted or displayed; configuration carries references (env-var names), never the secrets themselves.
